A smart Louis XVI fireplace in a subtly veined Carrara marble. The slender shelf is crisply moulded and rests over the the panelled frieze, centred with an acanthus patera, and framed with beads. This is flanked by acanthus paterae endblocks and scrolling acanthus corbel jambs over plain footblocks.
