An elegant Louis XV Rococo chimneypiece in finely veined Carrara marble. The moulded shelf sits above a serpentine frieze which is centred by a stylised 'rocaille' cartouche. This is flanked by scrolling endblocks which rest above panelled, console jambs.
French, late 19th century.
