    An original and charming Edwardian black lacquered decorative Chinoiserie fire screen in an un- restored condition. The main panel depicting a gentlewoman, apparently attending to her hair, in a river setting surrounded by ornate gazebos, willow trees and birds. The outer frame is decorated with various exotic flowers and plants and elaborate cross hatching with stylised floral paterae to the corners and surmounted by bell-like finials and a foliate copula.
