A fine steel and brass fireplace grate and matching fender in the George III manner. The basket with curved bars and four urn finials above a pierced apron with applied rosette paterae and beaded decoration, the shoulders with descending bell flowers and the whole supported on tapering legs. English, mid 19th century.
