An Tudor Revival wrought iron and copper fire gate with a splendid integral brass and copper hood. The grate is supported by a pair of imposing andirons in the Tudor Revival manner, each surmounted with pairs of embossed copper roundels depicting the Roses of the House of York. The last image shows a similar fire grate and hood in the Waring & Gillow illustration of a room with an inglenook fireplace setting. English, late 19th century.
