The brass frame, with finely detailed and delicate egg and dart and starburst edging, holds a mesh screen with a pair of applied ormolu laurel wreaths above a panel embellished with ormolu cornucopia and foliate fronds. The whole supported on neat foliate applied feet. With the factory marks for Bouhon Fres on the back. French, early to mid 19th century.
