A very fine pair of intricately carved oak high ranking, perhaps Royal, robed and fearsome medieval warrior figures, helmeted, heavily armed, armoured & crowned, possibly crusaders, each wearing monogramed armour, one with a fleur-de-lys on his breastplate, the other a roaring lion & each carring a shield, a sword and baton.English, 19th century.
