A substantial Louis XVI antique fireplace mantel carved in Breache Violette Marble. The simple breakfront shelf seated over a plain panelled frieze flanked by carved lion mask endblocks in the Roman manner with crossed paws over descending scrolled florally-carved decoration. French, mid 19th century.
