A Rococo style Carrara Marble lightly veined decorative fireplace surround in the Louis XV manner with a shaped and moulded shelf above a serpentine frieze centred by a large shell cartouche, framed by acanthus leaves, flanked by floral endblocks above angled panelled jambs embellished with acanthus detail above plain footblocks. French, late 19th century.
