A finely sculpted Rococo chimneypiece in the Louis XV manner. The pale grey Bardiglio marble with darker veining and figuring is carved in delicate relief under the serpentine shelf where the central scrolled floral cartouche is flanked by canted florally carved endblocks supported on scrolled carved jambs. French, mid 19th century.
