10926 : A striking large firegrate in the Renaissance Baroque manner with extraordinary burnished brass winged Dragons. The serpentine apron attractively decorated with Greek Key and Cabuchon detail under vertical spindle bars ,with a cartouche decorated fireback.See an identical example in the Drawing Room Chimneypiece in Rudding Park House , Yorkshire.. view last image below.Also some connection to the Oriental decoration at the Brighton Pavillion is being researched. Mid to late19th century.
