9099 : SPECTACULAR FLORENTINE RENAISSANCE BRONZE ANDIRONS : A truly magnificent and monumental pair of bronze andirons...Italian " alare " ....in the Florentine Renaissance manner. Of baluster form , the top one being pierced over the middle gadrooned one over the lower largest with floral decoration and the Fleur de Lys , symbol of the city of Florence since the beginning of the 1st millenium , guarded by female angels and supported on "S" and "C" scrolled bases.
