A PAIR OF " HI FIVE " LION CHENETS : A fine pair of ecstatic muscular patinated bronze lion andirons in triumphant pose in the Renaissance manner. The Lions rampant are supported between the curls of large C scrolls, held on square faceted bosses which are supported on four vigourously scrolled legs with Lion paw ball feet.French circa 1850.
