A fine quality life size carved marble bust of Roman Emperor Augustus, boldly carved in Statuary and Breccia marble, seated on a Sarin Colin marble socle, the features are strong and lifelike, and the toga with realistic folds. Augustus, the first and greatest Emperor ruled from 27 BC till 14 AD, born Gaius Octavius he was adopted by Julius Caesar, whose dictatorship he followed, and lived to the age of 76.20th century after the antique.
