9080. PUGIN BRASS EAGLE LECTERN . A splendid Victorian brass eagle lectern designed by A W Pugin and supplied by John Hardiman & Sons Studio, Birmingham.The outstretched eagle on domed revolving base, the faceted and turned stem with bulbous centre applied with clear cabuchon, flanked by brackets and pierced lambrequin surmount with turned finials, surmount moulded circuclar base on pierced pitched roof supports. Photo before restoration and reinstatement of brass book ledge.
