10297. A SMALL ART DECO CHIMNEYPIECE carved in oak with Deco stylised classical features. Under the straight moulded shelf is a stop-fluted frieze, centered by a raised and fielded small center plaque flanked by two of the same as endblockings, linked by draped stylised pearl stranded garlands. The unusual and attractive saw tooth top moulding carved with bead and reel motif which continues around the opening, and the whole supported on Bellflower stop-fluted jambs. French,1930s.
