A large carved oak fire surround in the Jacobean manner, actually incorporating numerous 17th Century carved elements with moulded cornice over a panelled frieze with five mask-carved corbels, the aperture with moulded edge under a rail carved with the heads' of three winged cherubs amidst scrolling foliage, and between a pair of fluted and reeded columns with volute and mask-carved capitals. Image before revival of polish. English 17th and 19th century.
