ANTIQUE CAST IRON GEORGIAN RENAISSANCE FIREPLACE MANTEL

 
10206. A small cast iron chimneypiece in the Early George 1st Renaissance manner. The decoration under the simple breakfront shelf of dentil over large egg and dart supported on a florally patterned Ogee frieze over further egg and dart around the ingrounds which contain a lower frieze with stylised Ho Ho Birds and Dolphins. The opening still with its original Leopard spot ceramic tiles either side of the spindle barred register grate.
