The term Renaissance here covers other related and adjacent periods and styles in different regions for convenience. Antique Italian Renaissance fireplaces are still to be found in the Palazzo’s and Villa’s of Venice and Florence particularly. Antique Elizabethan, Tudor and Jacobean English and Scottish fireplace mantels likewise can be found in many a great English, Scottish & Irish, later also American Country or Town House, Residence or Palace. Gothic architecture and style preceded Renaissance and later of course there were the Neo Gothic, Renaissance, Jacobean and Tudor Revival 18th and 19th century periods when a style or pastiche of a style or styles became fashionable in traditional projects, or providing impressive counterpoint or as statement pieces in modern interiors as is still the case today.

Our antique Renaissance fireplaces, Tudor Gothic, Elizabethan, Jacobean and Tudor Revival period mantels and chimneypieces include marble, carved stone and crafted wooden examples.
