9682. A quite large and well carved 19th century French cheminee
of good proportions in the Louis XVI manner in sparcely veined statuary marble.Carved on the breakfront frieze are an unstrung bow, quiver of arrows and olive branches symbolising Victory and Peace, with high relief carved acanthus leaf decoration on the scrolled jambs beneath square floral paterae.
Circa 1850.
