ONE OF A PAIR OF SOPHISTICATED ENGLISH REGENCY NEOCLASSICAL fireplace mantels in the distinctive manner of Sir John Soane (1753 - 1837). An extremely pleasing pair of antique mantels in pure white statuary marble with reeded shelf over the frieze, immaculately carved Roman Lion urn endblocks and alternate circular paterae interspersed with startlingly figural "Grand Antique" black and white marble from the Pyrenees.
English, circa 1800, with considerable later restorations.
