A compact Neo Classical chimneypiece in veined and figured white and Maurin green marble, the bevelled moulded shelf over green marble inlaid frieze panels centered by a bronze plaque in the Greek Revival manner ....This showing a scantily robed Goddess in a garden attended by winged Amorini playing pipes with Cornucopia and bowls of fruit....the Drinking Doves inspired by the Hellenistic Mosaic in Hadrians Villa in Rome...and the female warrior Caryatid completeing the scene...flanked by scrolled floral corbals supported on inlaid green marble jambs. English 19th century.
