9888. A Large richly carved oak chimneypiece with overmantel in the Palladian manner. Provenance : A house in Phillimore Gardens, Kensington. Attached to the back is a label consigning the chimneypiece to Messers Cubitt Co , 17 Phillimore Gardens , who were prolific developers and builders in London in the 18th and 19th centuries.English mid 19th century with stone interior from 9982 for display purposes.
