FROSTERLY MARBLE BOLECTION CHIMNEYPIECE : It is modelled on the bolection chimneypiece in Drumlanning Castle, Sumfriesshire. The family seat of the Dukes of Buccleuch. Frosterly marble is a richly marked fossil marble quarried in the county of Durham. An expensive and rare material , containing fossil sponges, it has been used decoratively in Durham Cathedral, York Minster and St Albans Cathedral. English , 20th century.
