8957. ITALIAN RENAISSANCE MANNERIST STYLE CARVED STONE CAMINO : A large and imposing carved stone chimneypiece in the Renaissance manner. The moulded and gadrooned shelf centered by acanthus decoration. The projecting jambs with carved smiling Satyr masks supporting a later frieze and shelf , with fruit carved brackets above Ionic tapering pilasters decorated with strap work on block feet. Shelf and frieze replacements.Italian, mid 19th century.
