9821. An elegant and understated English Regency Gothic chimneypiece in Belgian Black marble shown with 9822 its original substantial steel Register grate. The fine proportions and mouldings are discreetly augmented by the only carving, that of the Trefoil motif in the spandrels. Preliminary photo before repolishing to a high soft lustre.The insert could be burnished.Circa 1820.
