6418. A substantial and striking Louis XVI cheminee in dramatically figured, blue and purple veined white Pavonazza marble, with high relief carved adornment. This features under the shelf a fluted frieze centred by a large laurel swag, flanked by floral paterae supported on scrolled jambs with acanthus leaf top adornment.
