A substantial Louis XVI Chimneypiece with finely carved detail in Pavonazza marble, pure white with vivid blue and purple veining and figuring. The moulded shelf supported on a triple panelled frieze centered by diamond shaped floral paterae within geometric carved pattern and flanked by traditionally carved floral decoration on the endblocks in high relief over scrolled carved corbels. French 19th century
