10017. A very pretty carved Italianate Chimneypiece in Statuary marble. The plain moulded shelf over a panelled frieze carved with florally detailed Vitruvian Scroll motif centered by a rectangular plaque with stylised floral decoration flanked by flower decorated circular Paterae, supported on panelled jambs with descending florally scrolled decoration. Photo before restoration, cleaning and polishing.
