A well carved pine chimneypiece in the Late Georgian manner. The breakfronted shelf supported on carved scrolled brackets which flank the fluted frieze centred by an elaborately carved central tablet depicting a pastoral scene of a young goatherd playing a flute in a landscape. The jambs are decorated with festoons of fruit carved in high relief. English mid 19th century.
