A highly ornate brass, painted & stained glass Aesthetic Movement firescreen with a fine ebony handle. The pair of painted glass panels, depicting birds & bees in flight above fields of flowers set within stained glass detail and flanked by three repousse panels held by spindle rods and raised on elegant splayed feet.
English 19th century.
Note: Small crack in central right panel, bottom right.
