A colourful Oriental style four fold painted and lacquered wooden room screen each shaped panel with a depiction of a young musician maid playing a flute. This is remarkably similar to an oil on canvas painting by Chen Yifei (1946-2005), a famous Chinese artist, painter and director please see last image. There is evidence that this screen has been over painted as shadowy outlines can be seen behind the figures and the screen and original paintings could be of an earlier date.
